Week of October 22nd – October 29th

Thank you to everyone that joined us on retreat this past weekend! The weather was fantastic and the company was even better. With this year’s theme being ‘Be Not Afraid’, we learned to rejoice in the freedom of God’s love. We shall no longer see our inner feelings of fear as weaknesses, and we are now a stronger people.

Pictures to follow ūüôā We took so many on a lot of different phones

#TBT – Tuesday Night Mass

Every Tuesday @7pm in Melville Library Room N5560

tuesdaynightmass

Who couldn’t use some peace during the school week? Did you know that Fr Sean celebrates Mass on campus every¬†Tuesday¬†evening at¬†7 PM¬†on the fifth floor of the Melville Library, N5560?¬† A weekday Mass is slightly different than our¬†Sunday¬†liturgy: it’s a little more laid-back and intimate, with students sitting on the carpeted floor and the room in darkness except for the candlelight.
The 30 minutes you “waste” with God at this Mass will relax and renew your spirit and energize you to return to work with clearer focus. Come experience the peace that only Christ can give.¬† Try it once and see if it isn’t true for you ūüôā
And if you’re not in a hurry, we have a time of Eucharistic Adoration directly following Mass, as well as the opportunity for confession.

Service Opportunity – Little Flower Foster Care

Sunday October 29th 11:30 AM Р3 PM

 FINAL CALL FOR VOLUNTEERS

It’s easy . . . if you’re active, play basketball in the gym alongside the resident youth. ¬†If you’re artistic, help with the Halloween arts & crafts. ¬†They will be thrilled to have your one-on-one attention for awhile.
Email¬†Joanne Buonocore¬†by this¬†Wednesday, October 25th¬†if you’d like to volunteer. ¬†And if you can help drive your car in the carpool, we’d be appreciative!

CCM’s Help for the Homeless Clothing Drive

CCM could use your help as we prepare for our upcoming¬†Midnight¬†Run. We are seeking donations of men’s casual clothing to distribute to the homeless on the streets of NYC.
Most requested items? ¬†Men’s hoodies, jeans, sweats, backpacks, sneakers, long-sleeve ¬† t-shirts, and blankets. ¬†Used is fine . . . clean and in good condition is a must. ¬†Please only donate what you yourself would be happy to receive ūüôā
And if you don’t have used clothing to share, would you consider donating a new package of men’s white crew socks or underwear (size M, L, or XL)? ¬†Those are “staples” on any¬†Midnight¬†Run.
Clothing may be brought to the CCM office, Melville Library, N5576, or to the Tabler Arts Center, Black Box, during our Sunday 5 PM Mass.
