The Newman Club at Stony Brook University is the student-run Catholic Club on campus, made up of young adults who are committed to deepening their faith, serving others as Jesus taught, and forming a community with one another.
The first meeting of the semester (an ice cream social!) will be on Monday, August 31st, at 7 PM in the Student Union Room 249.
Come see what we’re all about!
A heartfelt welcome to students new to the Stony Brook community and a “welcome back” to all returning students!
As you are all moving into dorms before classes begin and finding your way around the campus, please know that the first on-campus Mass will be held in the Student Union’s Ballroom at 7 PM on Sunday, August 23rd, 2015. We are pushing the Mass time back a few hours to avoid conflict with a mandatory orientation for freshman students.
We’re looking forward to meeting some new people and reconnecting with familiar faces! Please feel welcomed to join us in worship!
On Friday, August 21st, Catholic Campus Ministry will host a welcome reception for all new Seawolves and their families. The reception will be from 12 noon to 2 PM on the second floor of the Student Union, Room 249. The reception is a great way to find out what CCM has to offer and how you can be a part of it all!
- Meet fellow Seawolves who are already involved in Catholic Campus Ministry.
- Allow them to explain our programs and answer any questions you may have.
- Visit our beautiful and peaceful Catholic chapel.
- Enjoy some cold beverages and tasty baked goods!
We will also have a table at the Campus Community Information Fair on Sunday, August 23rd, from 11 AM to 1:30 PM on the SAC Plaza.
We can’t wait to meet you!
