Midnight Run April242015

Confirmation Mass with Bishop Murphy!

Please join us this Sunday, April 19th at 5 PM for a very special celebration of the liturgy in the Student Union Ballroom. The Most Reverend William Murphy of the Diocese of Rockville Centre will be our celebrant, assisted by our own Fr. Dave Regan. Bishop Murphy will confer the Sacrament of Confirmation on one of our fellow Stony Brook students.

Luke has been studying, praying, and preparing all year to be confirmed and he has chosen to share this grace-filled day with all of us! Be there this Sunday to support Luke, who has decided to take this bold and courageous step of full initiation into the Church. Come witness the outpouring of the Holy Spirit, meet our bishop, and join us for a festive dinner afterwards!

All are invited to this special celebration! Dress your best!

Newman Club and Project Sunshine!

Please join us this Monday, April 6th, at 7 PM in Union 249 for our next Newman Club meeting!

We will be joined by our friends from Project Sunshine and the Hillel Student Club and will be “sending sunshine” by creating Sunny-Grams and journal/penguin craft kits to give to hospitalized children facing medical challenges. All the craft materials will be provided . . . just bring an open heart and a willingness to share your joy!

This Monday is also the first round of nominations for next year’s Newman Club E-board.

We’ll see you then!
