Pray for Peace
“When believers pray to God for peace, they are recognizing God’s power as the often overlooked or ignored source of lasting peace.”
Bishop William Murphy

Newman Club Meeting on Monday!

Please join us for Newman Club on

Monday, September 22nd at 7 PM in Union room 249!

Join us as we learn how to pray the lectio divina prayer – a slow, contemplative praying of the Scriptures which enables God’s Word to speak to us.  This practice has been kept alive in the Christian monastic tradition and is one of the treasures of our Church. The voice of God often speaks very softly, and in order to hear someone speaking softly, we must learn to be silent.  Through the practice of lectio divina, we allow God’s message to take root in our body, mind, and soul.

Newman Club Tonight!

Join us this evening for Newman Club in Union Room 249 at 7 PM!

We had a great turnout for last week’s meeting, and we hope to have as many people this week! We will be exploring the life and legacy of Saint Padre Pio (did you know that our Catholic Chapel on campus has a relic of Padre Pio?).

Hope to see you later!!
